with all the rage going on in the office lately, i've managed to resist. I love the way a guy i know put it.

must come to an end.
Last night was probably the last "quiet" night Patti and i will have this spring break weekend. All the kids have been gone, the house has been quiet, the kitchen's been clean, no fluffies on the carpet.
It was a nice and needed rest. Tonight Marc needs a recording done so i'm going to give Protools a good workout tonight. Tomorrow the youth are having a clean up day so i'll spend part of that mastering the recording session and the other half helping them build their "arcade"
All in all, it's been a great week. Patti and i got to spend alot of time together. We got to visit some friends over the weekend, I added some plugins to our dididesign system, i added a domain controller to an existing AD, i got to hand out with the Leals twice this week. It's amazing how much free time we actually have.
This week has been stock show. it hasn't been too bad this year. Maybe i'm just too critical. The George Strait fiasco has been interesting. i'm just glad i've gotten to stay out of that one.. at least as of yet. The short version, George is coming to the arena, the arena only holds 6000, the George Strait tour reserves 4000 tickets for it's own sponsors, regardless of the venue (they are used to performing in 15,000+ sites. so. the short of it, that only left 2000 tickets for sell, which of course sold out in a mater of moments. Needless to say, a lot of people didn't get to get tickets.
That could go under "Concert Fail" but "parking fail" was pretty funny too...
In a former life, i would probably rush at the chance to get to go. Partly for the chance to get out of the valley. out of the valley people.. or more specifically, stupid valley people.
not to mention the chance to experience the culture and the people and the people with culture. and i absolutely love the city. if i was living somewhere else, that would probably be where.
i'll just have to live vicariously through them i guess.
It's a friday afternoon and i'm stuck here at borderfest. Just 3 and a half more hours and i get to be home with my wife. I guess it's not to bad. just sitting at the broadcast table, better than being outside. And it's a break from being in the office. Yesterday had to spend the entire day out with Ken driving to the transmitters. All i needed was a lader and it wouldn't fit in my car so i had to ride along with him. The morning wasn't to bad but then he gets on his rants and i just want end up tuneing him out. can't complain to much. he bought lunch. didn't close his mouth while he ate but he bought lunch at least.
tonight patti and i get to sit on the couch and watch Wednesay's lost. Saturday going back out to church to work on cleaning out my office again. making slow progress, but progress none the less. Also want to work on some cabling while i'm out there.
I need a vacation, i wonder what the weather is like out in new england this time of year.
