argh…

after the crash this past weekend, this site just hasn’t been the same.  i’m going to have to change the physical move of the server farm from the original plan of after i moved in (early june) to probably this weekend.   The new datacenter will have dual network suppliers.  If one goes down, the other will pick up where the other left off.  I was testing this yesterday and it seamed to work fairly well.   I’ll also swap the cable modems and take my premium account over there and bring there standard service here.  I’ve already begun to reconfigure the firewalls out there and the loadballancing.  hopefully by monday everything will be back to normal.

I was at rioplex the other day.  It’s a local internet company. For a few months now they have had no stock of their modems.  They use navni “bunnies” for there service.  I just happened to have two and they wanted to buy them.  so i was in there lobby and they had a pc with windows xp on it and on the bottom of the screen was this little box.  “Your copy of window has an invalid serial number”  Here is this big time isp, or so they want you to think, and they are having to use a ripped copy of xp for their kiosk machine.
