Thank-you, John.

As humans, so many times, we forget to say the little things that matter to each other.  John, you have the most enormous heart of anyone I have ever known.  You give of your time and talents to anyone who asks, most of the time without so much of a “thank you”.  You are a true servant of God.  I’ve watched you for the several months, working from sun-rise to well past sun-set.  Thank God that he sent Guy and Jimmy to you for helpers!  Without them, we surely would not have made it through January and February.

You get up in the mornings, sometimes stopping at church to do this or that, before you even head off to the job that actually brings in money.  You work all day, not only doing your job, but filling for those that are not able to work at the moment due to illness,  as well as others that don’t do their own jobs at all.  You’ve been working on these new super-secret projects, launching market-changing programs that no one even knows how to do, so they give it to you, because somehow, they know you will get it done. You come home at the end of the day, and either come take care of me and the girls, or back to church… or even to one of the many other people you take care of in one way or another.  You end up at home, somewhere close to midnight, go to bed, and get up and start all over again the next morning, all without complaining.  This has been our life since last November.

I just want to say, publically, thank-you, John.  You are an example of not only the love of Christ, but the laboror of love.  Even though you are exhausted, and frustrated, and sleep-deprived, you continue to get up and go every day, in order to make a life for us.

God will reward your diligence.  Isaisah 41: 9 & 10:  You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its remotest parts, and said to you “you are My servent, I have chosen you and not rejected you, Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.  I will strenghten you, surely I will help you.  Surely, I willuphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Polly said the other night that you looked more and more like your dad. The look on your face indicated that her comment surprised you.  But I think that if  he and your mom were still here, they would be so proud of you, as I am.  Thank you for everything you do for us on a day-to-day basis.  I love you!

Thank you for your note. it really makes my day. i really appericate all you’ve had to put up with the past few days. i wish i could be around more. once things settle down around here hopefully our lives will get back to normal. You and the girls deserve more of my time. What good is it to spend all this time and effort trying to provide for you guys when i’m not around to enjoy your company. I promise, things will calm down once mr. meek is back up to full swing. the doctor is giving him a light-work release today.
